NDE, Inc. can perform penetrant inspection using various methods including water washable, post emulsified, fluorescent and visible dye, and high and low sensitivity levels.  We have the capacity to run parts up to 20 feet in length. We also have pre-penetrant etch capability for aluminum parts up to five feet in length.

As with all inspection methods, NDE, Inc. has rigid, documented controls monitoring every aspect of the process to ensure accurate and consistent results.   Some of the process characteristics monitored include water rinse temperature and pressure, dryer temperature and time, dwell time, penetrant viability and inspection area cleanliness.  Depicted here is a penetrant dryer oven operated by a PID temperature controller capable of holding the oven to within +/-5 degrees Fahrenheit of set temperature.
